Sovrini Prickly Pear Liqueur

The warm Mediterranean climate found in Malta is perfect for the prickly pear cactus plant, known as ‘bajtar tax-xewk’, to thrive! The prickly pear cactus plant producers a delicious fruit which comes in a variety of colours ranging from green to yellow, red and purple. Once you get  past the skin, the soft, freshly fruit has a sweet, melon-like aroma. Prickly Pear  are typically available during the hot summer months.

For a great-tasting Mojito add Sovrini’s Prickly Pear liquer to a shot of rum, the juice of one lime and top with sparkling water and a sprig of mint … oooh now that’s a cool drink!
