Savina’s identity is inspired by Maltese and Mediterranean culture, traditions and delicacies.
In ancient times grapes were grown for the production of wine in almost all the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, including Malta and Gozo, due to its favourable climate. Malta’s viticulture owes its revival to the Knights of St. John and today the island boasts a repertoire of fine wines.
The passion and dedication of Maltese wine-makers to the ‘nectar of gods’ has produced a variety of wines of exceptional quality and taste, including several award-winning premium wines. A number of grape varieties grow on Malta and Gozo.
